Tzvetoslav is working for DIGITALEUROPE as a Policy Director for Data Economy & Public Administration
He has been at the forefront of European and global digital and cyber affairs since 2009, holding a range of senior positions across both the public and private sectors. He has played a direct role in shaping the foundational legislative frameworks underpinning Europe’s digital and cybersecurity transformation as a permanent delegate to the Council of the European Union supporting COREPER-I and COREPER-II.
He has been formally appointed to numerous European Commission expert groups and committees, advising as a chief state expert on key issues including electronic identification, interoperability, public online services, emerging technologies, cybersecurity, certification, etc.
Previously, Tzvetoslav practiced law at several leading international firms, where he advised governments, IT industry associations, and multinational corporations on complex legal matters spanning digital and cyber policy, public procurement, data, competition, commercial and corporate law, etc.
He holds an LL.M. in Business and EU Law, awarded with Great Distinction by California’s oldest chartered university in collaboration with the University of Salzburg. He also earned a PhD focusing on the security and liberalization of critical sectors, has completed an executive Cybersecurity Programme at Harvard University and he is a long-time certified member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP). Tzvetoslav has been a university lecturer in EU Law, and a member of the Nederlandse Orde van Advocaten bij de Balie te Brussel (NOAB), the Dutch-speaking Bar Association of Brussels.
