Milda Basiulytė joined DIGITALEUROPE in June 2018. She has been covering several areas of DIGITALEUROPE work, mainly in outreach and policy departments. She is Senior Policy Director responsible for Single Market & Competitiveness as well Resilience & Infrastructure Policy Groups. She leads the work on cyber, cloud, infrastructure, spectrum, single market, competitiveness, standardization, funding, skills and innovation.
Milda has been part of the Brussels public affairs landscape since 2012. Having initially served at the European Commission (DG MARKT, now DG GROW) on internal market issues, she has transitioned to a trade association representing European private resource management companies. Here, she continued engaging on single market topic, in particular public procurement, and concessions directives. Additionally, Milda’s commitment extended to the environmental law domain, specifically within the context of sustainable development.
In the past years at DIGITALEUROPE, Milda has been responsible for several policy areas: sustainability, platforms, commerce, consumers, technology, innovation, standardization, funding, product compliance, etc. She has also held several horizontal roles such as policy coordination and outreach.
Before arriving to Brussels, she worked as a lawyer in the Government of the Republic of Lithuania. In this capacity, she was responsible for implementing EU law into national legislation.
She holds both, a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in law, and an LLM degree in European law from the University of Ghent.
