xShare aims to revolutionize health data sharing by introducing the xShare ‘’Yellow Button’’ on health websites and apps. xShare enables seamless health data sharing via the EEHRxF, empowering data portability and supporting research and innovation in the European Health Data Space (EHDS). The project’s xShare Button promotes continuity of care and harmonised data standards across Europe.

DIGITALEUROPE drives industry standards, policy recommendations, and business viability, advancing interoperability and ensuring secure, GDPR-compliant health data access across diverse settings. By fostering collaboration between stakeholders, it supports innovation and paves the way for a more unified European Health Data Space (EHDS).

Impact of the project:

The ‘’Yellow Button’’ will simplify the movement of health data, ensuring compliance with GDPR rules and facilitating seamless sharing in the European Electronic Health Records Exchange Format (EHRxF), aligning with the European Health Data Space (EHDS) regulation.
Empower individuals with GDPR-compliant data portability and digital skills to accelerate EEHRxF adoption and global alignment – check out the xShare Glossary, meant to evolve into the common glossary to be used in the European EHRxF Standards and Policy Hub, to be established as part of the project.
Complete the xShare Survey – This survey aims to gather an updated overview of public and population health datasets across European countries to assess their potential integration with the European Electronic Health Record Exchange Format (EEHRxF) under the upcoming European Health Data Space Regulation.
