Internship Description 

  • Support the policy team with day-to-day activities across different policy areas (sustainability, trade, digital transformation, data economy, single market, resilience). 
  • Drafting reports and preparing summaries. 
  • Conducting desk research on various topics. 
  • Support the organisation of events, meetings, agendas, and presentations. 
  • Attend internal and external meetings, draft minutes. 
  • Monitor EU policy developments. 
  • Support in the development of DIGITALEUROPE policy papers. 
  • Communication with members and external stakeholders. 

Details of internship and supervision 

You will join a growing and dynamic team of 60 and will get hands-on training from staff, with regular learning opportunities. Your work will be supervised by a line manager. We work a mixture of office and remote work. 

The working language is English, but there are plenty of opportunities to practice French and other languages spoken in the multicultural Brussels environment.

Placement Dates and Duration  

From 1 September 2025 for ten months (flexible). 

Nationality restrictions or visa requirements if outside of the EU 

Only EU nationals or candidates with the necessary paperwork to work in Belgium will be considered. 

Remuneration  

Paid internship (in addition to any possible funding received from your sending university). 

Requirements

  • A student enrolled in an undergraduate or masters programme (typically in EU affairs, politics, international relations or law) or a recent graduate.  
  • Strong analytical skills and interest in technology policy. 
  • You are very organised and timely. 
  • You are hands-on, motivated, friendly and approachable. 
  • You have good editing and proofreading skills. 
  • You have strong analytical skills, attention to detail and a results-driven mindset. 
  • You can conduct desk research and contribute information to policy papers.
