Manager (full-time or part-time freelance) – Audiovisual content production

Who we are:

DIGITALEUROPE is the leading trade association representing digitally transforming industries in Europe.

Our vision is that by 2030, Europe is leading on digital for its people, its businesses, and the climate. To get there, we engage with policymakers and citizens to shape a more secure and competitive business environment for a stronger digital Europe.

Together with our members, we shape the industry policy positions on all relevant legislative matters and contribute to the development and implementation of relevant EU policies. Our membership represents over 45,000 businesses who operate and invest in Europe. It includes over 100 corporations which are global leaders in their field of activity, as well as 40 national trade associations from across Europe. Our coverage extends beyond the tech industry to include green tech, health, manufacturing, finance, defense, and security. Our manifesto for the new Commission ‘Europe 2030: A Digital Powerhouse’ – and our foundation document for the next five years – can be found here.

Based in Brussels, we currently have around 60 employees, we are continuing to grow. Our organization is highly diverse, with equal representation of men and women at all levels and employees from 36 different nationalities.

We are looking for:

A new member of our Communications team that can take our audiovisual production to the next level. In this election year, we have identified two clear priorities – reach new audiences, and teach them about tech, and tech policy.

To that end, we recently invested in a new in-house studio, with possibilities for video production, live and semi-live online events, podcasts and much more.

We want someone creative that can immediately add technical and practical knowledge to our team, delivering exciting, engaging and informative videos and audio. Although policy is what we do, our new colleague will help us skillfully break down some of the biggest issues of the day – including AI, green tech, health innovation – to a wider audience. This new year 2024 sees elections and some estimates say that 60% of MEPs will be new to Brussels, as well as the majority of the Commissioners. We therefore have a great opportunity to show them how technology in Europe works; where we are strong, where we need to do better, and what the opportunities are if we get it right.

We sit on a wealth of material in one of the most interesting areas that is regularly in the news, as well as a passionate, dynamic and engaged staff. We need your support to release that potential and raise our profile both in Brussels but also in member state capitals.

You will report to the Director of Communication and Outreach under the day-to-day guidance of the Senior Manager for Communications.

We are open to hiring either a full-time Manager for Audiovisual Content, or a freelancer who would be willing to commit three days a week to DIGITALEUROPE as their major client. This second option can be discussed further at interview.

This is a unique position that will place you at the heart of Europe’s digital agenda and in contact with Europe’s most influential trade associations.
